At first glance, we all seem very different, but if you look closely, there is something we all share: PASSION. We love our work and understand it for what it is—the most beautiful and important job in the world.
We are a team of people with a vocation who believe that another way of educating is possible. We belong to that minority that has grown up maintaining a connection with their inner child, and that is why we know how to connect with children, share their joy, and use that bond to transmit everything we can offer as education professionals, that which will be truly useful for their future.
We are constantly training to incorporate new trends in active pedagogies (and some not so new) into the present moment our school is experiencing, and to respond to the real needs of each group. We work together as a team every week through group therapy and by sharing experiences that strengthen our bond as a tribe. This openness and personal work is the essential component that enables us to truly support children and young people in managing their emotional world.
In our school, any space is an educational space. Everyone at Arimunani—not only the tutors—transmits their knowledge in the form of workshops or simply enriching communicative opportunities with the children.
All of us, without exception, have a loving view towards them, and we firmly believe that throughout the entire school—not just in the classrooms—there are opportunities for learning. It’s a two-way process, as we also learn from them every single day.
We cherish our time together for what it truly is—educational experiences in which we both grow and that we will always remember.
We understand families as what they are—an indispensable part of our team. When we return home, their valuable work begins, and we cannot understand our work unless it is together. We work closely and cohesively with them, establishing various communication channels to share the necessary information for the work at hand: the healthy development of their most precious asset. We walk hand in hand in this challenge and are always well connected to share and listen to their proposals regarding both the child and our project. We look for opportunities to be united through Family Forums, “Acompañando-T” meetings, and encourage playful gatherings where we have fun together and build community.
We have a Parents’ Association responsible for supporting and helping with the social aspect.
